Armenian-American History & Heritage Month and Genocide Remembrance is held in April every calendar year. Approximately 500,000-1 million Armenians call the United States home and have a rich, diverse cultural heritage and migration story.

Many in the community come from histories of refugeehood and displacement historically and continue to be leaders in social, political, economic, and artistic life in the U.S.

We forward an inclusive, empowered mobilization of our community, think about our intersections of identity, and build solidarity with other marginalized groups.

April is also the time in which Armenian-Americans commemorate the Armenian Genocide, which saw over 1.5 million Armenians and Assyrian systematically massacred and deported from their homeland. We remember and we act for Armenia, Western Armenia, and Artsakh today.
